Houston County Animal Clinic in Erin, Tennessee is eagerly seeking a Relief | PRN Veterinarian.
As a Relief / PRN Veterinarian, you'll provide temporary veterinary services to a diverse client / patient base! This role ensures continuity of care during staff absences or high-demand periods.
Responsibilities are including but not limited to the following:

- Conduct routine veterinary procedures like exams, vaccinations, and minor surgeries.
- Diagnose and treat medical conditions following veterinary best practices.
- Administer emergency care, stabilizing and treating injured or critically ill animals.
- Effectively communicate with pet owners, providing clear diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses.
- Address client concerns and respond to inquiries regarding pet health.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff and support teams for seamless facility operation.
- Coordinate with other veterinarians to ensure smooth case transitions and patient care continuity.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all treated patients.
- Document treatment plans, medications, and follow-up instructions.
- Stay abreast of veterinary medicine advancements through continuing education.
- Maintain licensure and adhere to state-specific practice regulations.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active state veterinary license and DEA registration.
- Previous clinical veterinary experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication abilities with clients and colleagues.
- Adaptability to varying practice environments.
- Flexibility to work different shifts.
